Is this suitable for sensitive or reactive skin?
SUNVEIL was created with a gentler approach in mind, using oils that support and nourish the skin barrier. That said, because it contains essential oils, it may not be suitable for highly reactive or actively flared skin. If your skin is in a sensitive or compromised state, we recommend patch testing or waiting until the skin feels more settled.

Will this feel oily on my skin?
When applied to slightly damp skin, the oil absorbs easily and leaves a soft, velvety finish rather than sitting heavily on the surface. The intention is not shine, but glow. Skin should feel supported, supple, and at ease.

What results can I expect?
With consistent use, skin often feels more hydrated, balanced, and resilient. Many notice a softer texture, a more even tone, softening of lines and a natural glow over time. This is not about dramatic transformation, but steady, visible support.

Can I use this if my skin is breaking out or irritated?
If your skin is actively flaring or highly irritated, it may be best to simplify your routine and return to this oil once your skin feels more settled. Every skin is different, and learning when to support and when to reduce is part of the process.

Do I need other products with this?
SUNVEIL can be used on its own, especially when applied to slightly damp skin. It can also be layered into an existing routine if desired, but it does not require one.

Why is this priced the way it is?
Each bottle is made in small batches using high-quality botanical oils chosen for their integrity and function. What does it smell like?
The scent is subtle, warm, and grounding, coming from a restrained blend of piñon resin, neroli, palo santo, with a memory of sandalwood, and hinoki. It stays close to the skin and is meant to be experienced rather than announced.

How long does one bottle last?
With daily use of 3–5 drops, one bottle typically lasts one to two months. Shelf stable 18 months.

Is this anti-aging?
ALTAR does not approach skin from a place of correction. Instead, SUNVEIL supports the skin as it changes, helping it stay nourished, supple, and resilient over time.
